At the dawn of the third millennium the world is in turmoil. There is profound religious and racial mistrust. Human potential is being inhibited by confrontation and discord. The problems that we face today are immense and complex and cannot be solved alone. There is a desperate need for a new vision and better understanding. Inter-religious and inter- racial collaboration is the only way forward. This does not imply giving up our own identities but makes it necessary to understand and discover others. To this end we have launched a non-partisan organisation- Roshni For Harmony.

At Roshni - which means light - we are committed to promoting religious, racial and cultural pluralism. We stand to challenge intolerance, fanatacism and mutual antagonism. We aim to safeguard religious liberty and ensure human rights and human dignity.

We believe that people of all faiths – and those with none - races, and communities should engage in dialogue in order to develop pragmatic mutual understanding which is essential for long lasting peace and harmony.
