Activities of Roshni

Promoting racial harmony and human rights through communication, discussion and dialogue.

Workshops

Roshni will organise workshops to develop better communication and understanding through dialogue and discussion. A special effort will be made to include people of all ages but particularly young people in the workshops. Using dialogue as a tool for action, these workshops will aim at:

Educating the participants about diverse faiths and cultures

Learning to accept differences through organised debates

Building bridges between people of different faiths and also between people of faiths and those with none

Developing skills of tolerance and mutual respect for all

Examining and enriching ones own religious and spiritual understanding by contrasting and comparing the similarities between all religions and other disciplines

Publications

From time to time Roshni will bring out publications about our events and on other efforts we make towards religious and communal harmony. The organisation also intends to provide financial and material support for publication of books and literature, which it may consider to be in line with its objective
